About The Gasparilla Curse Series

In The Gasparilla Curse series, 10-year-old Tommy uncovers an ancient, cursed coin from the mythical pirate Jose Gasparilla, who has threatened him and his family. In the first book Doubloon!, Tommy digs up the coin while on the beach with his family on vacation and begins searching for the truth and the meaning of its treasure.  In book 2, Tarpon!, Tommy returns to Florida to go fishing with his family.  He is captured and tortured by Jose Gasparilla. Gasparilla is willing to let Tommy go home and end the curse, but only if he returns the ancient pirate coin to a buried treasure chest.  In book 3, Hurricane!, the coin goes missing, and it becomes a race to unravel a mystery of the curse of many generations against time and nature’s wrath.  Tommy and his family must recover the pirate coin, return it to its rightful place, and hope to be free of the curse forever.

About the Author

Bruce Rougraff is married with four wonderful children and one grandchild. He lives in Indianapolis and loves fishing, hunting, hiking, ATVs, jet skis, boats, and snowmobiles. His favorite places to visit are Mexico, southwest Florida, and the upper peninsula of Michigan. He grew up in Texas and spent every weekend as a boy on the beach of Galveston Island. Now he is a lifelong beach bum who can’t stop digging for treasure in the sand.
