About Lauran Star
Lauran Star is one of the leading experts in the field of Women’s Emotional Intelligence and Leadership, as well as the creator of the LEIP Leadership Emotional Intelligence Proficiency assessment. This assessment tool is highly selective towards the 16 proficiencies highlighted within this workbook.
She is an international speaker on Women’s Empowerment and Women’s Leadership skills as well as the CEO of the Excellence Consulting Group — an organization focused on Leadership Organizational Development and Women’s Leadership through coaching and organizational development consulting.
Her passion for Women’s Empowerment is inspired by her mission’s focus: fostering talented, ambitious women and launching them towards even greater success, while creating a balance between personal and professional growth. She has more than fifteen years of leadership experience and has effectively led change management programs with Fortune 500 companies. In 1989 Lauran became a proud member of the United States Armed Forces and served her country as a medic for ten years, including through the Gulf War.
Lauran’s academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, graduating with honors, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. She is a certified coach and also holds board positions with the International Coach Federation. As a member of the National Speakers Association, she chairs several national boards focused on coaching education and speaking.
